SpareRoom founder Rupert Hunt searches for housemates (cat lovers & pianists preferred)

Posted on January 11, 2016

This week, Rhizome’s longest standing client, SpareRoom’s Rupert Hunt, launched his search to find two new housemates to share his £3million Spitalfields home.

The best part? His new housemates will be able to pay what they can afford, because self-made man Rupert doesn’t care so much about the rental income – he just wants to live with interesting people.

The first video in the YouTube series is, like Rupert, beautifully quirky. There’s a stuffed bear, taxidermy peacock, a baby grand, a disco lounge, and more than one garden – unusual for London.

To be in with a good chance of securing one of Rupert’s rooms, you can’t be camera shy (his flatmate hunt is being filmed) and maybe bring props so he’ll remember you. He distinctly remember the woman who baked him cookies!

Rupert’s mission has already attracted media attention from the Sunday Times, Mail Online, Mirror Money, Metro, Daily Star, and even the Lad Bible who have declared Rupert seems like a “really nice guy”. We’ll second that.
